This Privacy Policy governs the website and digital platforms operated in connection with The Sentry, a PGA TOUR co-sponsored event held at Torrey Pines Golf Course, San Diego, California. The Sentry is operated by the Century Club of San Diego in partnership with PGA TOUR, Inc.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how The Century Club of San Diego ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses personal information in connection with The Sentry PGA TOUR. The Policy applies to personal information we collect through our websites, mobile applications, on-site Wi-Fi networks, and other digital services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Sites"). Your privacy is important to us.

1. The Information We Collect
(a) Personal Information You Provide
When you register a profile, purchase tickets, enter contests, sign up as a volunteer, or otherwise interact with our Sites, we may collect some or all of the following:
- Identifiers and contact information (name, alias, unique personal identifier, online identifier, IP address, physical address, email address, telephone number)
- Username and password
- Age, birthdate, gender, and other demographic information
- Interests, communication preferences, and inferences about your preferences derived from your activity on our Sites or at our events
- Location information, including general location and precise geo-location
- Ticket purchase history, including product, date, and time of transaction
- Volunteer registration data: full name, organization, title, home/business/mobile phone, city, state, country, and emergency contact information
(b) Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our Sites, use on-site Wi-Fi, or open our emails, we and our partners may automatically collect:
- Mobile ad identifiers
- IP address and browser type (e.g., Firefox, Safari, Chrome)
- Operating system type
- Internet service provider
- Web pages visited, referring URLs, and email interactions
- Type of mobile device and device identifier
- Site content accessed and advertisements viewed or clicked
(c) Third-Party Sign-On & Social Media
You may log in using a third-party single sign-on service, which may share your name, email, and other profile information with us. You may also engage with our content on social media platforms. When you do, we may access certain profile data (e.g., name, email, location, friends list) subject to your social media platform's privacy settings. We use this data to personalize your experience, deliver exclusive content, and communicate with you.
(d) Information About Others
You may submit information about other people (e.g., gift recipients). We will use such information only for the stated purpose. Those individuals may contact us to request we stop using their information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Fulfill requests for products, programs, and services
- Respond to inquiries and offer relevant products, programs, or services
- Protect the safety and security of fans, products, and services and detect and prevent fraud or other unlawful activity
- Notify winners of contests and enforce legal terms
- Deliver personalized news, updates, and customer support (including automated chat)
- Create fan profiles and personalized experiences, including targeted offers and advertising on and off our Sites
- Contact you about your account
- Deliver direct marketing communications (with your opt-in consent)
- Conduct surveys and polls to improve event experience
- Publish user-submitted content (e.g., comments, blog posts) under your screen name
- Send SMS messages where you have opted in (standard carrier rates apply; reply STOP to opt out)
- Provide location-based services to help you navigate the Torrey Pines Golf Course
- Improve site design and deliver more relevant advertising
3. How We Disclose Your Information
(a) Legal Process
We may disclose personal information when legally required (e.g., court orders, subpoenas, government requests) or when necessary to investigate illegal activity, prevent threats to safety, or enforce our terms of use.
(b) Business Transfer
If The Sentry or the Century Club of San Diego is acquired, sold, or merged, we may transfer your personal information to the successor entity.
(c) PGA TOUR Affiliates
As a co-sponsored PGA TOUR event, we may share your information with PGA TOUR, Inc. and its affiliates (including the TPC Network) to facilitate benefits, deliver promotions, and improve services.
(d) Service Providers
We engage third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, analytics companies, advertising networks, shipping companies, call centers, email service providers, auditors) to assist with our operations. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us.
(e) Event Sponsors
Content sponsored by or co-branded with identified third parties (e.g., contests, promotions, games) may involve those parties collecting your personal information. We will seek your consent before sharing data with such parties. Thereafter, the sponsor's own privacy policy governs their use of your information.
4. Cookies & Web Beacons
Our Sites use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience. Cookies are small text files placed on your device. They do not contain personal information on their own; however, they may be linked to personal information you provide.
We use the following types of cookies:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies – required for core site functionality; disabling these may impair site access
- Performance Cookies – collect anonymized usage data to improve the site
- Functional Cookies – remember your preferences (language, login details, settings)
- Media Cookies – enable video and audio content provided by us or third parties
- Advertising / Targeting Cookies – serve personalized ads based on your browsing interests

You may configure your browser to block or restrict cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect site functionality. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals but respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law. Use the "Cookie Choices" option in our site footer to manage preferences.
5. Third-Party Sites, Ad Servers, and Sponsors
Our Sites may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Facebook, Twitter/X, Google, LinkedIn, PGA TOUR official sites) whose privacy practices differ from ours. We have no control over such sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies. We also partner with third parties to provide data collection, reporting, ad response measurement, and site analytics. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
6. International Transfers
We are located in the United States. Your personal information may be stored and processed in any country or region where we have facilities or engage service providers. By using the Services, you understand that your personal information may be transferred to countries outside of your country or region of residence, which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country or region. In certain circumstances, courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies or security authorities in those other countries or regions may be entitled to access your personal information.
If applicable, we will put in place adequate measures, such as the standard contractual clauses adopted by the relevant authority, to protect your personal information. You may obtain a copy of these measures by contacting us in accordance with the “Contacting Us” section below.
7. Information Security
We implement physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Please note that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We strongly urge you to protect any passwords, log out of your account when using shared computers, and not share your account credentials with others.

8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
(a) Rights Available to You
Subject to applicable law, you may request:
- Information about how we have collected, used, and disclosed personal information. We have made this information available to you without having to request it by including it in this Privacy Policy.
- Access to a copy of the personal information that we have collected about you. Where applicable, we will provide the information in a portable, machine-readable, readily usable format.
- Correction of personal information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Deletion of personal information we maintain about you, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
(b) How to Exercise Your Rights
To make a request, please contact us in accordance with the “How to Contact Us” section below. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. You have the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under applicable law.
In your request, please make clear what personal information you would like to access, change, or delete. For your protection, we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.
To the extent available under applicable law, if we refuse to take action on your request, you may appeal this refusal within a reasonable period after you have received notice of the refusal. You may file an appeal by contacting us as described in the “Contacting Us” section below.
Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion (e.g., when you enter a promotion, you may not be able to change or delete the personal information provided until after the completion of such promotion). Further, certain personal information may be exempt from requests pursuant to applicable data protection laws or other laws and regulations.
(c) Authorized Agent Requests
If you would like another person (an “agent”) to make a request on your behalf as permitted by applicable law, the agent may use the submission methods noted above. As part of our verification process, we may request that the agent provide proof of their authorization by you to submit the request.
9. Notice of Financial Incentive
We may offer discounts, loyalty programs, contests, sweepstakes, or other promotions that constitute a financial incentive under applicable privacy law (e.g., CCPA in California, Colorado Privacy Act). Participation is entirely optional. The terms of each program will be disclosed at the time of opt-in. You may withdraw your consent at any time by opting out or contacting us. Any unredeemed incentives may expire upon opt-out.
10. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. Factors we consider include the sensitivity of the data, the duration of your relationship with us, applicable legal obligations, records retention requirements, and applicable statutes of limitations. When your information is no longer needed, we will destroy, delete, or anonymize it.
11. Children
Our Sites are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete the information. We do not verify user ages and disclaim liability in connection with any access by minors.
12. Our Email Policy
(a) Email Marketing
We communicate with registered users and ticket purchasers using the email address provided at registration or purchase. With your consent, we may send you promotional and informational emails about The Sentry, the Century Club of San Diego, PGA TOUR co-sponsored activities, partners, and affiliated events.
Marketing emails we may send include:
- Tournament news, player announcements, and schedule updates
- Ticket availability, pre-sales, and special offers
- VIP experience and hospitality promotions
- Volunteer opportunities and community impact updates
- Sponsor offers and partner promotions (where you have opted in)
- Contest, sweepstakes, and loyalty program communications
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email we send, or by contacting us at ticketing@thesentry.com. Transactional emails (e.g., ticket confirmations, account notices) are not affected by marketing opt-outs and will continue to be sent as necessary to fulfill your requests.
We will not sell, rent, or trade your email address to unaffiliated third parties for their independent marketing purposes without your explicit permission, except in connection with a sale or transfer of our business or as required by law.
(b) SMS / Text Message Marketing
With your opt-in consent, we may send you text messages (SMS) to the mobile number you provide. Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing tickets or any other product or service.
SMS messages we may send include:
- Tournament day reminders, tee time alerts, and schedule changes
- On-site navigation assistance, wayfinding, and shuttle updates at Torrey Pines
- Exclusive ticket offers, flash sales, and pre-sale access
- Sponsor and partner promotions (where separately opted in)
- Emergency or weather-related notifications during the event
Message frequency will vary. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. All charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. We are not responsible for any charges incurred.
To opt out of SMS communications at any time, reply with any of the following keywords to any message you receive:
- STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE
You may also opt out by contacting us at ticketing@thesentry.com or submitting a privacy request as described in Section 8. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. SMS consent and phone numbers will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
We may also send push notifications through our mobile application. You may disable push notifications at any time in your device or application settings.

13. Use of Your Credit Card
We use third-party billing services to process credit card transactions and have no direct control over such services. We use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that credit card information is kept strictly confidential using industry-standard encryption. You agree that we are not responsible for any misuse of your credit card number by a third-party billing service. In the event legal action is necessary to collect on balances due, you agree to reimburse us for all reasonable expenses incurred, including attorneys' fees.
14. Updates & Effective Date
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will post notice of material changes on our website prior to the changes taking effect and, where required by law, will notify you by email. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of our Sites following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
