Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii – The Sentry Tournament of Champions will return to The Plantation Course at Kapalua in January as the opening event of the 2024 PGA TOUR Season. The TOUR’s annual stop on Maui welcomes TOUR winners from the previous calendar year and the top 50 players from the final FedExCup Playoffs and Eligibility Points List. With their recent victories, Justin Rose, Scottie Scheffler and Chris Kirk are among the latest players to qualify for the 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions, while Jon Rahm picked up his third win of the calendar year.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Rose defeated Brendon Todd and Brandon Wu at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to secure his 11th career PGA TOUR title and most of any player from England since World War II. The victory marked his first win since the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open, a span of 1,471 days between titles. The win qualified Rose for a return trip to The Plantation Course at Kapalua where he finished T12 in 2011 in his lone appearance at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

WM Phoenix Open

Scheffler, the reigning PGA TOUR Player of the Year, defeated Nick Taylor by two strokes to win the WM Phoenix Open and overtake Rory McIlroy to regain the top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking. The 26-year-old became the 17th multiple winner of the WM Phoenix Open and seventh player to successfully defend his title at the event – first since Hideki Matsuyama in 2017. The victory qualified Scheffler for his third trip to the Sentry Tournament of Champions where he finished T7/2023 and T13/2021.

The Genesis Invitational

Rahm returned to the winner’s circle once again after defeating Max Homa by two strokes at The Genesis Invitational to become the first player from Spain to win in the event’s 95-year history. The victory marked his 10th career TOUR win and his third in his last six starts on TOUR. With the win, the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions winner returned to No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time since March 26, 2022.

The Honda Classic

Kirk won The Honda Classic in playoff over Eric Cole to earn his fifth TOUR title and his first since the 2015 Charles Schwab Challenge. The victory came in Kirk’s 179th start since his title in 2015 and snaps a winless drought of seven years, nine months and two days. The 37-year-old became the second consecutive winner of the event from the University of Georgia and fourth in the last 10 years. The win qualified Kirk for his fifth trip to the Sentry Tournament of Champions where he finished T24/2016, T14/2015, T16/2014 and T7/2012.
