Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii – The 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions today announced Matt Fitzpatrick, Tom Kim, Sepp Straka and Will Zalatoris are set to make their first appearances at the Sentry Tournament of Champions when it returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua from January 4-8.

Fitzpatrick earned his first career PGA TOUR victory at the U.S. Open in June to become the first player to earn his maiden TOUR title in a major championship since Danny Willett (2016 Masters Tournament). The Englishman entered the week as the second-highest ranked player in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) without a win on TOUR and went on to defeat Scottie Scheffler and Zalatoris by one stroke. Over the course of the 2022 calendar year, the 28-year-old garnered 10 top-10 finishes in 20 events, which yielded his debut appearance in the season-ending TOUR Championship.

Kim picked up his maiden TOUR win at the Wyndham Championship in August and subsequently joined the TOUR as a full-time member. At age 20, Kim is the second-youngest winner on TOUR since World War II (youngest: Jordan Spieth/2013 John Deere Classic) and the first player born in the 2000s to win on TOUR. Kim went on to earn his second career TOUR victory in October at the Shriners Children’s Open at TPC Summerlin where he became the first player since Tiger Woods to win twice on TOUR before turning 21 years old. In 13 events played on the 2022 calendar, Kim earned seven top-25 finishes in addition to his two titles, including third-place finish at the Genesis Scottish Open.

Straka claimed his first career TOUR victory in his 95th career start when he defeated Shane Lowry at The Honda Classic in February and became the first player from Austria to win on TOUR. The 29-year-old entered the final round trailing by five strokes, which marked the largest final-round comeback at the event since it moved to PGA National in 2007. Straka went on to earn six top-10 finishes over the course of the 2022 calendar year, including two runners-up (FedEx St. Jude Championship, Sanderson Farms Championship) and a T3 at the RBC Heritage.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship was the site of Zalatoris’ first career TOUR title after he defeated Straka on the third sudden-death playoff hole. The 26-year-old became the second player to win a FedExCup Playoffs event in his first Playoffs appearance (Xander Schauffele/2017 TOUR Championship) and the first player in the FedExCup era to make the FedEx St. Jude Championship his maiden TOUR win. In the 18 events he played over the course of the 2022 calendar year, Zalatoris earned 12 top-25 finishes in addition to his victory, including three runners-up (Farmers Insurance Open, PGA Championship, U.S. Open).

Other players joining Fitzpatrick, Kim, Straka and Zalatoris at the Sentry Tournament of Champions for the first time are Luke List (Farmers Insurance Open), Tom Hoge (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am), Ryan Brehm (Puerto Rico Open), rookie Chad Ramey (Corales Puntacana Championship), J.J. Spaun (Valero Texas Open), Trey Mullinax (Barbasol Championship) and Adam Svensson (The RSM Classic).
