WGC-Mexico Championship defending champion Dustin Johnson has secured his return to Club de Golf Chapultepec in search of his third win in four appearances in Mexico City. Meanwhile, McIlroy, who secured his second FedExCup last weekend at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, will look to collect his first WGC-Mexico Championship title after finishing runner-up to Johnson in 2019.

Ancer will represent Mexico for a third time in the WGC-Mexico Championship after making his debut in last week’s TOUR Championship. The No.37-ranked player in the world had his best season on the PGA TOUR highlighted by a runner-up finish in the opening FedExCup Playoffs event – THE NORTHERN TRUST.

New for the 2020 tournament, Ancer’s qualification will allow for a second player from Mexico to join the field. Excluding Ancer, the highest-ranked available player from Mexico inside the top 300 of the Official World Golf Ranking as of Feb. 10, 2020 will join Ancer in representing Mexico against the world’s best golfers.

Of the first 30 players to qualify, four will make their Mexico City debut: Corey Conners, Sungjae Im, Lucas Glover and Jason Kokrak

Other fan favorites to secure a return trip to Mexico City include Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Adam Scott and Rickie Fowler.
