Local Food Trucks
The Sentry Tournament of Champions takes its food options seriously, and a big part of expanding that in 2019 is the addition of three food trucks, two of which will be located in the Entry Experience. The three food trucks featured this year are Hooked (seafood), Mr. Taco (Mexican) and Paniolo (BBQ). Keep your eye open for fun menu items highlighting players in the incredible field.
GREY GOOSE 19th HOLE
When fans arrive at The Plantation Course at Kapalua for the Sentry Tournament of Champions, they will have something to help them celebrate seeing the PGA TOUR winners from the 2018 calendar year, the signature GREY GOOSE cocktail, named **Mea Lanakila ‘Champion.’ **Hand crafted to capture the essence of Maui relaxation, the Mea Lanakila ‘Champion’ blends fresh juices with signature GREY GOOSE vodka for a light and refreshing drink.
A signature cocktail like the Mea Lanakila ‘Champion,’ with such carefully chosen ingredients to maximize flavor (see below), deserves to be served in an equally grand cup, and with the help of Corkcicle, fans can enjoy the signature cocktail in style with a 12 oz. commemorative tumbler featuring the tournament and GREY GOOSE logos.
Mea Lanakila ‘Champion’ Recipe
- 2 oz. Grey Goose Vodka
- 0.5 oz. Strawberry Puree
- 0.5 oz. Lemon Juice
- 0.5 oz. Simple Syrup
- 1 oz. Grapefruit Juice
- Add Grapefruit wedge for garnish
Method: Add juices, syrup, puree and liquors to mixing glass with ice. Shake and strain over ice. Top with club soda if so desired.
ALOHA KICK-OFF
The Aloha Kick-Off is a ceremony held prior to the first tee time Thursday, featuring a Hawaiian blessing by The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua cultural advisor Clifford Naeole, Hawaiian entertainment and a welcome from Pete McPartland, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sentry. Concluding the ceremony, a maile lei is placed on the 1st Tee signage by Naeole and McPartland.
ALOHA FRIDAY
Aloha Friday is a weekly occurrence for Hawaiians, which helps welcome the weekend during the last work weekday. Fans are encouraged to participate in the tradition by wearing Aloha (Hawaiian) patterned clothing and have a chance to win prizes via Sentry Tournament of Champions social media channels throughout the day. As the Aloha Friday spirit is for everyone, our volunteers will be wearing “Aloha Friday” T-shirts during the day to also help usher in the weekend.
SENTRY SWING SIMULATOR
Located within the Entry Experience at No. 2 Green, the Sentry Swing Simulator will be a tented structure featuring a two-bay golf simulator, where fans can play SentryWorld - Wisconsin’s first destination golf course - and try their skill on the iconic #16 Flower Hole – a par 3 featuring more than 33,000 flowers surrounding its green.
On Saturday, January 5, all fans are invited to a meet-and-greet with the guys from Dude Perfect by the Sentry Swing Simulator.
KIDS AUTOGRAPH AREA
The best place to get up close and personal with the PGA TOUR's biggest stars is at The Plantation Course! We have installed a kids autograph zone in the fan zone, near where the players sign their scorecards following play.
