Golf for Maui Charities

Initiative enters its eighth year at Sentry Tournament of Champions

KAPALUA, MAUI, Hawaii – Sentry Tournament of Champions is proud to announce its eighth year of Golf for Maui Charities, a program designed to generate revenue for local Maui charities through tickets sold by non-profit organizations. In just a few months, PGA TOUR winners from 2018 will descend on Maui for the winners-only event when it returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua from January 2-6.

The Golf for Maui Charities program generates revenue for local charities in the Maui area. Organizations are invited to sign up and participate, with no sign-up fees and absolutely no cost or risk to the non-profit organization. The organization then sells the tournament tickets, and 100 percent of the net proceeds go directly back to the organization.

Many worthwhile organizations have benefited from the Golf for Maui Charities program since its inception eight years ago. Two such organizations are Hale Kau Kau and Paia Youth & Cultural Center, both of which have participated in the program for at least four years. In those four years, the organizations have been able to raise funds for their respective initiatives.

"Golf for Maui Charities provides an opportunity for the Sentry Tournament of Champions to work with even more charitable organizations to have a greater impact on the local Maui community,” said Sentry Tournament of Champions Executive Director Nancy Cross.
