First Appearance Qualifying win: Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Despite weather delays that shortened the event to 54 holes, American Brian Stuard birdied the second playoff hole to defeat Jamie Lovemark and Byeong-Hun An at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans for his first PGA TOUR victory to earn a spot in the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Stuard was bogey free for all 54 holes of the event, as well as the two playoff holes. His play for the week was highlighted by his putting, as he was an eye-opening 46 of 46 from inside 10 feet.

Stuard’s victory carried extra importance, as he was only conditionally exempt onto the PGA TOUR last season.

“Kind of overwhelming right now to think of all those great things that comes with winning, but I don't know, I just feel very fortunate, very happy, and I don't know, very pleased,” Stuard remarked following his victory.
