Format

Four-day, no-cut, 72-hole stroke play competition comprised of Official PGA TOUR event winners from the 2023 calendar year and the top 50 players from the FedExCup standings who qualify for The Sentry.

Mobile Tickets

For The Sentry 2024, all grounds tickets and upgraded hospitality tickets will be distributed to fans digitally.

How to access mobile tickets:

Mobile tickets significantly decrease the number of fraudulent tickets in the market and allow fans to transfer tickets instantaneously without having to utilize will call. There will be admissions volunteers at both entrances, Main Entrance and Champions Gate (located near the putting green), to answer questions.

Parking

All parking areas designated for The Sentry event require valid credentials for access. Kindly ensure you have the necessary parking permits to avoid any inconvenience upon arrival. If you do not prossess the appropriate parking credentials, we encourage you to consider using rideshare services to reach the event location conveniently. For convenient valet parking, Lot 3 is available at The Plantation Course at Kapalua. Upon your arrival at The Plantation Course, please follow the clearly makred signage directing you to Lot 3 for valet parking services. Please note that PROPER CREDENTIALS ARE REQUIRED for access to valet parking in Lot 3.

Rideshare Drop-Off

Fans who use rideshare (Uber or Lyft) or taxi service to the tournament will be dropped-off and picked-up at the Main Entrance (below practice putting green) onsite at The Plantation Course at Kapalua.

Daily Events

First Tee Ceremony (Thursday)

Join us for The First Tee Ceremony at The Sentry on Thursday, January 4 at 6:45 a.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to observe and participate in Hawaiian blessings and chants to celebrate the new year by welcoming the start of regrowth, renewal and rebirth as the sun rises over The Plantation Course at Kapalua. Gates open at 6:30 a.m., First Tee Ceremony begins at 6:45 a.m. and the opening tee shot will be hit at 7:30 a.m. as the first round of competition at The Sentry begins.

Aloha Friday

Aloha Friday is a weekly tradition in the Maui community and across the Hawaiian Islands, which welcomes the weekend during the last workday of the week. PGA TOUR players, broadcasters, volunteers, and fans participate in the local tradition by wearing Aloha attire on Friday at The Sentry.

For the sixth consecutive year, Sentry Insurance Foundation will donate $1,000 per clothing item (hat, shirt, pants, shoes) when TOUR players participate in the Aloha Friday tradition during the second round of competition at The Sentry.

Lahaina Strong Saturday

On Saturday, The Sentry will distribute red t-shirts to fans at the Main Entry in partnership with Lahainaluna High School Foundation – one of the tournament’s primary charitable beneficiaries. At the Main Entry, Lahainaluna football players and cheerleaders will help distribute the red t-shirts, which features “Lahaina Strong” on the front and a QR code that links out to a donation page for Lahainaluna High School Foundation. The Sentry encourages all fans to wear red to the tournament on Saturday.

Closing Ceremony (Sunday)

After the final putt drops on Championship Sunday, fans are encouraged to stay for the tournament’s closing ceremony. Following play, PGA TOUR players will receive lei.

Fan Experience

From exclusive food offerings to the best views in golf, there will be plenty for fans to enjoy when The Sentry returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua from Jan. 4-7. New year, new season, and big golf consequences as The Sentry delivers a world-class event from competition to experience.

Tommy Bahama Relax Zone

Featured on No. 10 green provides a place where fans can relax and take in the golf action from comfortable Tommy Bahama beach chair.

Tito’s Stillhouse

For the 21+ crowd, Tito’s Stillhouse returns to The Plantation Course located in between No. 1 fairway and No. 18 green alongside comfortable seating for fans to enjoy signature tournament cocktails while watching the PGA TOUR’s top players!

Raw Elements

Elite golf competition and sunshine make for a perfect day! Fans are encouraged to wear protective sun gear, hats, and sunglasses, while certified natural sunscreen dispensers courtesy of Raw Elements are located throughout the course!

Hydration Stations

Hydration Stations located throughout the course allow fans to refill cups and water bottles. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own water bottles (no larger than 32 oz.) since reusable plastic or metal bottles that are empty upon entry and exit are permitted at The Sentry.

Merchandise Walk Up

Don’t forget to commemorate the day with a souvenir from The Sentry! Visit the Tournament Merchandise walk-up location or the Pro Shop in The Plantation Course at Kapalua clubhouse to purchase tournament gear.

First Tee Game Changers Experience

First Tee Game Changers Experience located by No. 9 green features an interactive golf exhibition with putting green, coloring wall and Shave Ice.

First Tee Autograph Zone presented by Sentry

First Tee Autograph Zone presented by Sentry located near No. 1 tee is the best place for keiki to grab selfies and autographs from PGA TOUR stars!

Michelob ULTRA Bar

Fans 21 years and older witnessing the golf action on the front nine can enjoy drinks and food at the Michelob ULTRA Bar located between No. 3 green and No. 9 tee.

Plantation House Restaraunt

Enjoy delicious specialties by Plantation House Restaurant, including their legendary Fish Sando, at locations throughout the course near Hole Nos. 1 and 18 and between No. 10 green and No. 14 tee.

Jackson Family Wines

Kendall Jackson and other signature brands from the Jackson Family of Wines portfolio returns to The Sentry. Their wines will be featured onsite at all venues and locations where fans (21+) can purchase alcohol.
